Theatre in the age of Covid, Part III (Are We Still Doing This?)

Well, it’s been a year since all live theatre closed down.  I’ve been blogging about some really interesting online options to scratch your theatre itch, but I have to admit that I’m starting to get screen fatigue.  I really, really miss theatre, both as a performer and as an audience member.  In the meantime, here’s a little nugget that I’d love to share with you.  There are wonderful offerings from the National Theatre of Scotland that you can view for free.  If you check out their “Scenes for Survival,”  you will find short, digital works that are designed to be viewed as camera-ready.  Many of them refer to the pandemic specifically, while others are just about life.  Some appear as a series (Alan Cumming in a delightfully creepy role), others as one-offs.  They can be be enjoyed as fun, little snacks, but are also very bingeable.

In other news, I am now fully vaccinated!  So, when you feel comfortable hiring me again, I’ll be ready to go!
